A failure to listen, seems to be the problem of "the masses".
The ongoing saga of ACORN as they appear day after day on video telling people how to skirt the law and lie to get Housing Loans. It is incredible, but the most incredible part was the reaction of ACORN bosses after the release of the first video. They immediately attacked the people that made the video, which brings me to my point of the failure to listen.
The young man that shot the video and pretended to be the pimp told them that their standard attack method would not work. He specifically told them he had read Mr. Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and was prepared to use their own hero against them. What should have they learned from that? At least 2 things I can think of right off the top of my head: number 1. There is more video to come, he knew full well they would try to say it was an "isolated incident", so he knew he would need more then one or two locations doing this to show a pattern. 2. He knew in advance what they would do, so they should break pattern by aggressively responding to the internal problem but instead they reacted as predicted and lashed out at the reporter.
The Rules in Rules for Radicals are a bit dishonest, but they can be used by either side, something President Obama and his Pink Shirts (seen them they ain't that scary) should keep in mind.
Back to the title, you need to say "the masses" very slowly to get the proper effect.

Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity were all over the latest video release in the self-concocted ACORN "scandal" they've been pitching all over the cable and airwaves the past week. This time, they supposedly caught an ACORN volunteer named Tresa Kaelke giving them advice on how to set up their pimping operation.
Now, you'd think they would clue in that they were being put on when the woman talked about having killed one of her ex-husbands, but no. They proceeded apace -- and then splashed it all over Fox News this week, credulously.
The only problem? It’s not true.
And these people like to fancy themselves "investigative journalists." More like ethics-deprived fanatics out to score political smear points.
As normal Madonna the leftist is dead wrong, neither O'Rielly or Beck had anything to do with the video's. They where made by a pair of young people and put out by biggovernment.com . They did however give FOX and exclusive, but it wasn't just one place and it wasn't just one video. It happened in 5 different sites all around the country. Madonna, needs to stop watching Rachel Madcow and do some looking on her own.
